Bistrô

How the name bistrô became known in France in 1815, is still debatable: some say that Russian soldiers shouted "Bistrot! Bistrot!" when they were assaulting cafés right after having seized Paris, while others say that the northern French citizens themselves coined the expression.

Today, a bistro is more commonly known as small, traditional, and charming restaurants, the perfect place to simply sit around, shoot the breeze while enjoying a great drink, tasting an uncomplicated and gourmet style meal and, of course, with a pleasurable company.
