The practice of horseback as a sport involves a global physical activity, thus enhancing physical strength, equilibrium, and motor coordination. In addition to these physical benefits horseback encompasses the inherent challenges in the relationship man/woman X horse, which fosters greater self-confidence, the development of decision-making skills, how to better overcome limits, a well-developed sense of respect and leadership.
Horseback, a unique type of sport in which man and animal must act harmoniously as a single entity, an activity that requires horsemen / horsewomen to take into account the impact of emotional, intellectual and physical factors in their partnership with the animal. While developing these capabilities horsemen / horsewomen grow their interpersonal as well as social skills.
Horseback basically involves learning how to ride a horse, the relationship with the animal so that the rider overcomes fear and thus develops self-confidence, in addition to exercises that help relax and ease horsemen/women as well as warm-up and stretching exercises.
Other activities involve horsemen/women learning to properly handle the horse, both natural and artificial means to aid the animal, the correct posture, the bond between men/women and horses, theory and practice of limits, patterns of canter when working in the manège, mastering several types of pace (step, canter, trot, trot on diagonal, combined and advanced gallop. In-depth practice that follows basic horse riding adding dressage patterns and enhancement of horse handling aiming at a coordinated effort between horse X horseman/horsewoman.
An introduction to show jumping (single obstacles and on a course) and the proper use of artificial aids. At this stage the learner will be able to choose his/her favorite type of equestrian sport.
Aims to maintain and achieve higher levels of dexterity while mastering the art of equitation so that men/women are appropriately capable of taking part in championships, if that is the case, in one the following modalities: show jumping, dressage or working equitation.
